Jeanette Coker Harrington

NEW ZION – Jeanette Coker Harrington, 86, widow of Raymond Brunson Harrington, died Monday, January 18, 2021, at McLeod Health Loris. Born October 24, 1934, in Turbeville, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Harold Coker and the late Margaret Grace Reardon Coker. She was a member of Midway Presbyterian Church. She is survived by three children, Michael R. Harrington (Linda) and Gerald L. Harrington (Nan), both of New Zion, and Janene H. Surette (Pete) of Manning; six grandchildren, Michael R. Harrington, Jr. (Lauren), Tiffany H. Boggs (Carlos), Daniel L. Harrington (Becky), Chase Harrington (Krystal), Grace Surette and Jesse Surette; and five great grandchildren, Olivia Boggs, Harbin Harrington, Nash Boggs, Monroe Boggs and Hoke Harrington. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Emily Faye Coker; and two brothers, Arnold Coker and Shelby Coker. A private graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Midway Evangelical Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Lowder officiating. The family would like to thank six very special ladies, Lettie Kennedy, Brenda Kennedy, Ester Matthews, Shirley Nero, Mae Burgess and Ruth Pressley, who assisted her at home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SC Alzheimer’s Association, 4124 Clemson Blvd., Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621, or to Midway Evangelical Presbyterian Church, c/o Wendell Robinson, 1215 Evans Road, New Zion, SC 29111.
