Bill Rex Van Gorden Obituary

Billy Rex Van Gorden, age 92, passed away peacefully Monday, January 18, 2021 at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama. He was born in Shelbyville, Indiana on October 16, 1928. He spent his entire career as a lithographer in Shelbyville and Cincinnati, Ohio. In Indiana he was very active in the Elks Club. He was a member of the Cincinnati Industrial Advertisers and the Cincinnati Litho Club for many years and was a past president of the Litho Club. Bill was an avid woodworker and loved living high above the Ohio River for years with his late wife, Ruth. He and Ruth also traveled extensively.  Bill is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth Lucille Van Gorden (1928-2018), his mother, Catherine Gaines, and his daughter, Melanie Potter. He is survived by his daughters: Pamela Eppstein (Rick) of Longmont, Colorado, Melissa Zoller of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Rebecca Farr (Jay) of Gurley, Alabama. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Brent Marshall (Janis), Allison Marshall (Rob Sarno), Dan Dorfmeyer, Ryan Dorfmeyer (Jen), Dakota Potter, James Farr (Kelsey), and Chris Farr, as well as great granddaughter, Avery Sarno. No services are planned at this time.
