Obituary

The 12th of January, was the first new moon of 2021. Fresh beginnings! Our
loved ones are just having their new beginnings, on the other side.
In the early morning of January 12, 2021, Brian Anthony Fossheim, left us
to be with others that went on before him.
Brian was born October 19, 1957, in St. John’s Hospital in Edson, Ab. After
graduating grade 12 at Parkland Composite High School, Brian farmed and
ranched with his parents and brothers in the Drostan District. Eventually, he
acquired his class 1 drivers licence and went on to drive for several truckers
and friends in the area, until his knees prevented this.
He enjoyed checking up on his nieces and other family farmers in the area
and helped out where he could. Brian enjoyed his time teasing friends,
family and acquaintances about what they drove, whether or not they were
slacking at their jobs, or just anything to “bug” them.
Brian will be missed by his family, his coffee buddies, his farmers market
acquaintances, those that he met on the street or at the post office and garage
sales, just to razz them about life.
The neighbors will miss him dropping over just to chat.
Brian passed at the Edson Healthcare Centre after a brief illness.
He is survived by sister Linda Hine, of Edson, and her children, Angela (Jay
Bishop), Trisha (Mike Wilson) and Shawn Hine, all of Edson, as well as
Shayne Hine of Carivale, Sask. Brother in law, Wayne Hine of Alida, Sask.
Brother Douglas (Tammy) Fossheim, and their children, Jennifer McConnel,
Stephanie, Kendra, Travis & Nicole Fossheim, of Edson.
Brother Kenneth (Barb Massia) and their sons, Joel (Sarah), and Grayson
Fossheim, all of Edson, Judy’s sister, Carol Broere and family and Ron Taje
and family in the Wetaskiwin area.
He has 3 great nieces and 6 great nephews in Edson, plus many nieces and
nephews in Judy’s family.
Brian was predeceased by his partner, Judy in 2003, his dad, Sigurd
Fossheim in 1995, and his mother, Wanda Fossheim, in 2008. Also
predeceased by one nephew, and one great nephew, as well as Judy’s
parents.
There will be no service at this time, due to covid restrictions.
At a later date, we plan to have a memorial gathering at the Drostan Hall in
his honor.
Donations to Canadian Diabetes Assoc. Or Drostan Hall appreciated.
