Leo Richard Bogue, Jr. of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Leo R. and Alice M. (Geesaman) Bogue, Sr. on March 20, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri. He left from this life surrounded by his family on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at his home at the age of 82 years. Rich was united in marriage to Mildred S. “Millie” Kaufhold on June 20, 1958 in Cuba, Missouri. To this union three children were born Barbara, David and Cathy. Rich worked in his younger years at Parkmore Gas Station and the shoe factory. He would then work the next 36 years for Missouri Department of Transportation as a grader/operator. He would eventually become and retire as the Maintenance Supervisor. Rich loved to hunt and fish with his buddies. Together, he and Millie enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, woodworking and traveling to Texas to be snowbirds for the winter. He always enjoyed having friends and family over for fish fries. Rich is preceded in death by his parents Leo Richard and Alice Marie (Geesaman) Bogue, Sr.; wife Mildred S. “Millie” (Kaufhold) Bogue; son-in-law Denver Britton; three sisters Mary Lou and husband John Menz, Patricia and husband Charlie Waidmann, Sharon and husband John Casarotto; one brother Jerry Bogue; six brothers-in-law Fred, Tony, Warren, Bill, Jim and Norman Kaufhold; two sisters-in-law Marie Kincade and Pearl Matte. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his three children Barbara Britton of Rolla, Missouri, David and wife Sherry Bogue of Greenbriar, Arkansas, Cathy and husband Charles Schroyer of Cuba, Missouri; six grandchildren Denver “Denny” Britton, Jr., Nathan Bogue, Samantha Britton, Justin Bogue, Ethan and Olivia Schroyer; three great-grandchildren Cole, Cameron and Hayden Bogue; one brother Bill and wife Wanda Bogue of Cuba, Missouri; one sister Shirley Click of Cuba, Missouri; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Rev. James Finder as the celebrant. Interment Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. If desired, memorials would be appreciated to Holy Cross School or the Leukemia Society. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Bogue family.
