<p>Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Billy R. Nolen age 83, of the Twin Oaks Community will be held 1 PM Saturday, November 6th from Good Hope Cemetery. Memorial Donations in memory of Billy Nolen&nbsp;may be made to the Good Hope Annex, by contacting Speck Funeral Home.</p> <p>Mr. Billy Nolen passed from this life on Saturday evening, January 16, 2021 from the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.&nbsp; He was born in Overton County, Tennessee on October 12, 1937 to the late Francis Marion and Mae Bilbrey Nolen.&nbsp; After graduation from Livingston Academy, he joined the US Air Force.&nbsp; Upon discharge from the military, he became a TN Highway Patrolman.&nbsp; Later in life he was a merchant and field office manager for a construction company.&nbsp; After retirement, Billy enjoyed gardening and cooking.&nbsp; He was especially known for his fried apple pies and dried-apple stack fruit cakes.</p> <p>Billy leaves behind his twin sister, Betty Nolen Copeland of Cookeville, TN, and sister Katy Nolen Vaughn of Livingston, TN; a plethora of nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.</p> <p>In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his sisters, Vesta Nolen, Jean Reagan, Roberta Smith, Opal Walker, and Hazel Whitaker; brothers, Denver, Haskell, and Wilbur Nolen.</p>

My sympathy and condolences to all of Billy’s loving family. He was so sweet to show me and Bobbie around when we came to Livingston. I was looking forward to spending time with him again on my next visit. I will certainly miss him.

So sorry to hear of Billy's passing. I worked at the cottage when his family member was there. He was always bringing us things from his garden and baking for us. I remember his giant watermelons.   Shelia Brown
