QUESNEL, Marcel 1939-2021 With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Marcel Quesnel of Alban, Ontario in his 81st year on Friday, January 15th, 2021 at Health Sciences North with his loving family by his side. Son of the late Aldéo and late Anita (née Brunet) Quesnel. He will be forever missed by his wife of 61 years Jeannette (née Lafleur) Quesnel. Loving father of Nicole (Terry), Marc (predeceased), Joëlle (Rick) and Lissa. Cherished grandfather of Mélanie, André, François (Andréanne), Dominik (predeceased), Branden and great-grandfather of Marc, Axel, Jacob and Alex. Dear brother of Gérald (late Denise) and half-brother of Micheal (Brianna) and Daniel. Predeceased by his siblings Rollande Beaulieu (Michel), Denis (Jocelyne) and Aldéa Pelchat (Yvon). He will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and good friends. Marcel was a devoted family man and was our “Rock & Pillar”. His love, support and guidance was unsurpassed. His favorite time was family get togethers. He had a big heart and was always there for a friend in need. His passion for cars led him to pursue a long career in mechanics. He was the well-known mechanic in Alban. He also served his community as administrator and member at the Caisse Populaire for 30 years. Marcel loved nature, animals, golfing, music (he played guitar, accordion and harmonica), and was the best dancing partner. Due to the current status of Covid-19 there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a tree may be planted in Marcel’s memory at https://shop.alivingtribute.org/products/plant-a-tree-canada. Arrangements entrusted to the Cooperative Funeral Home, Sudbury.
