Marjorie Kempink

Marjorie Kempink, 96, of Cedar Grove, went home to walk with Jesus on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Marjorie was born on July 4, 1924, in Sheboygan Falls to Garret and Jenny (Decker) Preder.  On May 6, 1944, Marjorie was united in marriage to Harold in Gibbsville.   Marjorie was a member of First Reformed Church of Cedar Grove. She was a farm wife and a hard worker. Marjorie worked at the Belgium shoe factory, Allen Edmonds for 28 years until her retirement in 1987. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards, word searches, and reading.   Marjorie is survived by her two daughters, Linda (John) Risch of Belgium, Debbie (special friend Rich Steuerwald) Kempink of Kiel; grandchildren: Kevin (Becky), Dan (Jen), Jeremy (Kelly), Christopher, Amy (special friend Mark) Becker; foster grandchildren: David, Steven, and Kevin Soch; great-grandchildren, Danika, Jacob, Autumn, Conor, Logan, Carter, Madison, Nathan; great-great-grandchildren, Carson and Everly. She is further survived by her sister, Jane Ten Haken of Oostburg; Rollen "Dick" Preder of Oostburg; sister-in-law, Ellen Preder of Oostburg; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.  Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; parents, Garret and Jenny Preder; two sons, Daniel Kempink, Garret "Gary" Kempink; foster son, Edward (Marion) Soch; six brothers, Gordon (Rhoda) Preder, Lloyd (Josephine) Preder, Gerald Preder, Warren (Grace) Preder, Rolland (Joyce) Preder, Frederick "Fritz" Preder; sister, Betty (Ardell) Sebald; twin sister, Margaret (Ralph) Oehmichen; two brother-in-law, Leslie Ten Haken.  A funeral service to celebrate Marjorie's life will be held on Thursday, January 21st, 2021 at 5:00 pm at First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove with Pastor Bradford officiating.
