Frederick Carl Brost Jr, 68, of Plymouth, passed away early Saturday morning January 16, 2021. Fred was born on July 5, 1952 to Frederick “Fritz”and Lois (Kohls) Brost. Fred attended Sheboygan Schools and resided in Sheboygan County his entire life. While Fred explored various careers in his lifetime, such as foundry and handyman work, his passion was bartending. He enjoyed entertaining his patrons and was known for his hilarious antics. Aside from bartending at numerous taverns in the county, Fred and his life partner Mary ran The Shack on the corner of A &E in the early to mid-nineties. Many good times are fondly remembered. Fred also had a passion for music, liked to sing, watch movies, and had a soft spot for taking in stray animals. In his later years he enjoyed entertaining at his home bar on his and Mary’s hobby farm. Fred is survived by his significant other of 38 years, Mary Jane Blanke, his four children, Kelly Mohs (Scott) of Plymouth, Frederick Carl Brost III (Fiancé Kayla Reiss) of Kiel, Mary Elizabeth Brost (special friend Christopher Holbach), and Jerome Brost (Breanna Bower) both of Plymouth. His grandchildren: Daisy, Brady, Carsen, Lakota, Cadence, Wyatt, Pieper, and baby Brost due in April. His brothers and sister: Robert Brost, Susan Brost, and Terry Brost. He is further survived by the Blanke family and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Barbara Brost and his nephew Paul Barnes. Cremation will take place; a celebration of life is planned for later this year. Wittkopp Funeral and Cremation Services assisted the family with arrangements.
