Bonnie Wells Calhoun

Bonnie Wells Calhoun,82, passed away peacefully at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini on January 16, 2021. She was born to Jessie Elias and Celia Lee Wells on January 16, 1939 in Temple, Louisiana. She was a graduate of Simpson High School, Class of 1956 and attended Northwestern State University. She studied business at Louisiana College and received her degree in 1968. Mrs. Calhoun was the Owner/President of Klothes Kloset/Bonnie Lane from November 1970 to February 2007. She was very involved in the community and an active member in several professional business organizations including the Professional Women’s Network of which she served as president for several terms. Bonnie is survived by her son, Kendall Lane Calhoun; granddaughter, Catherine Claire Calhoun Engolio (husband, Chad); brother, Charles Wells (wife, Ruth) and sister, Sue Roberts (husband, Harry). Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jerald D. “Jerry” Calhoun; parents, Jessie Elias and Celia Lee Wells and brother, Leroy Wells. Visitation will be at Hixson Brothers Pineville on Tuesday, January 19th from 12:00 – 2:00pm. Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park at 2:00pm for family and friends with Rev Lyndon Marcotte officiating.
