Thelma Ilene Blow

<p>A lover of family, friends, football and the Home Shopping Network, Thelma lived her life the way she wanted. Though a native of Yorktown, VA, a proud graduate of Yorktown Training School, and a lifelong member of Grafton Baptist Church Harris Grove, she moved to Philadelphia as a young adult and resided there until her death.&nbsp;</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her husband, Joda Cohen; parents, Eddie and Edith Blow; and siblings, Carolyn B. Readen, Naomi Howard, Harvey Blow, and Eddie &ldquo;Jimmy&rdquo; Blow.&nbsp;</p> <p>Left to cherish the memories of Thelma Blow include her siblings, Norman Blow (Josephine), Shirley Combs, Marionette Pearson, Gloria Nickelson (Chester), and Donald Blow; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Blow and Shirley Blow; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and dear friends whom will lovingly remember her.&nbsp;</p> <p>An intimate service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 21, 2020, at Whiting&rsquo;s Funeral Home, with Rev. Reginald Bagley officiating.&nbsp; Due to COVID-19 only 50 people may be in attendance with facial coverings and social distancing requirements.&nbsp; Facebook Livestream will be available at the start of the service. &nbsp;Interment to follow in Grafton Baptist Church Harris Grove Cemetery. &nbsp;A walk-through viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, in the funeral home.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Professional services entrusted to the staff of Whiting&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 7005 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg, Virginia 23185. 757-229-3011 whitingsfuneralhome.com</p>

A lover of family, friends, football and the Home Shopping Network, Thelma lived her life the way she wanted.
