Freimuth, 90, of Honey Brook, formerly of Elverson and Exton, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Brandywine Hospital due to health issues complicated by COVID-19.&nbsp; He was the beloved husband of the late Helen L. Healy Freimuth, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2010.</p> <p>Born on August 24, 1930, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Gustav H. and Anna Buchholtz Freimuth.</p> <p>Paul graduated from Haverford High School in 1948, then worked at Philadelphia Electric Co. as a Draftsman, where he met his wife Helen.&nbsp; He served in the US Air Force in the Strategic Air Command, 4050th Airway Transportation Group during the Korean War.&nbsp; After the Air Force he worked at Bell Telephone as a service technician then retired from Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories (Pfizer) in Radnor after 36 years of service as a Multi-Media Services Dept. Senior Layout Draftsman.</p> <p>Paul was a 58-year member of St. Paul&rsquo;s Lutheran Church in Exton where he served on the sanctuary building committee and as a long-time usher.&nbsp; His life-long hobby was model railroading, especially his own Larchmont Valley Railroad HO gauge layout which he built in the basement of four different homes.&nbsp; Family vacations always consisted of camping and scenic railway excursions across the U.S.</p> <p>Mr. Freimuth is survived by his daughters, Linda L. Stevens and her husband, Jeffrey S., Sheila A. F. Wetzel and her husband, Richard B.; by his grandsons, Scott P. (Amanda E.) and Karl F. (Blair W. Hackel) Stevens and by a great grandson, Tyler J. Stevens.&nbsp; He is preceded in death by his sisters, Bertha Schmidt, Elsie Roth and Frieda Benninghove.</p> <p><br /> Services and interment will be held privately with the family at St. Paul&rsquo;s Lutheran Church, Exton.&nbsp; A live stream of the service will be available on the funeral home&rsquo;s website.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul&rsquo;s Lutheran Church, 104 S. Paul H. Born on August 24, 1930, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Gustav H. and Anna Buchholtz Freimuth.
