David Cristofano

David Cristofano, 53, of Warrenton, VA passed into eternal peace on November 30, 2020. Born in Germantown, MD, son of Francis Cristofano and Helen Cristofano, David graduated from Middletown High School in Middletown, MD and the University of Maryland College Park. David's loss is felt profoundly by his wife Jana Cristofano, to whom he was married for 30 years, and his son and daughter, Jacob and Megan Cristofano. David is also survived by his brother Richard Cristofano and his wife Mary, his sister Patricia Casadonte and her husband John, and his brother-in-law David Rudolph and his wife Bridget. Other family members who have also felt this loss are his mother-in-law Beverly Smeby and her husband John, his uncle Sal Cristofano and his wife Laura, along with numerous nieces and nephews. David loved his family very much and prioritized spending his free time with them. He was fond of long country drives, cooking, and watching movies. Known for his sense of humor and wit, if David was involved in a conversation, laughter was never far away. David devoted his career to software engineering for various branches of the Federal Government where he frequently received recognition for outstanding performance. As an extremely talented artist, David left behind many gifts. A young musician, David wrote original music that he performed together with a band in college. As a gifted writer, David was an Edgar-nominated author for his debut novel The Girl She Used to Be, which was followed by his second novel, The Exceptions. David's life and legacy will be remembered, carried on, and celebrated by his loved ones, friends, and readers. Condolences may be given at moserfuneralhome.com
