<p>Lucy A. Poirier Memorial</p> <p><br /> Lucy A. Poirier from Tiverton, RI passed away on 1/16/2021, peacefully in her sleep at The Grand Islander nursing home in Middletown, RI.&nbsp; Lucy was a bookkeeper and resided in Cranston, RI for many years.</p> <p>Many friends and family knew Lucy to be a fantastic cook, wonderful wife and grandmother and frequently would say what was on her mind.&nbsp; Lucy was always willing to support the needy, volunteering in her younger years at the local soup kitchen and graciously donated to charities. Also, Lucy has served as the President of the Woman&rsquo;s Italian Auxiliary Veterans Organization of RI.</p> <p>Lucy is survived by her husband George Poirier of Tiverton, RI, her son William Poirier and daughter-in-law Kathy Poirier of Peabody MA and her daughter Angela Poirier-Degnan and son-in-law Thomas Degnan Jr. of Douglas, MA.&nbsp; Lucy&rsquo;s greatest pride was her four grandchildren.&nbsp; Lucy is survived by her grandchildren, Victoria Botelho, Michael Botelho and his wife Hailey Botelho, Vanessa Poirier, and Christopher Poirier.</p> <p>Due to COVID-19 and various health concerns the viewing at Woodlawn Funeral Home and mass at St. Mary&rsquo;s Church in Cranston, RI will be private. Lucy A. Poirier Memorial


Lucy A. Poirier from Tiverton, RI passed away on 1/16/2021, peacefully in her sleep at The Grand Islander nursing home in Middletown, RI.  Lucy was a bookkeeper and resided in Cranston, RI for many years.

Many friends and family knew Lucy to be a fantastic cook, wonderful wife and grandmother and frequently would say what was on her mind.  Lucy was always willing to support the needy, volunteering in her younger years at the local soup kitchen and graciously donated to charities.
