Elizabeth Susan Warren Dallas, Oregon Obituary

Elizabeth Susan Warren

Elizabeth (Liz) Susan Donahue Warren was born on 6/29/1958 in Corvallis, Oregon. She was raised primarily in the Corvallis area. After graduating from Corvallis High School in 1976, she attended Central Oregon Community College in Bend, Oregon. While living in Central Oregon, she would meet her future husband, Wesley Warren. The couple then moved to the Salem area where they were married and raised their three children, Amie, Jen and Wes Jr. Liz primarily worked as a merchandiser during her working career. She also worked for multiple nurseries, though she was most proud of her work as a teaching assistant for special needs children. Liz’s biggest joy in life was her garden. She could get lost in her plants. She produced beautiful flowers and provided delicious fruits and vegetables for her family. She seemed the most at peace when she was pouring hard work into the earth and only slowed down once her body forced her to. Liz also loved to be creative. She saw the use in things that others could not at times. She strongly believed in repurposing and upcycling. She also was an award winning quilter, having won the blue ribbon at the Oregon State Fair for her work. In addition to this she was an accomplished seamstress in her younger years. She designed Halloween costumes for her kids and did her best to pass these skills on to her daughters. If Liz wasn’t being creative she was busy enjoying the outdoors. While she was limited due to chronic pain and other conditions later in life, she was an avid rock hunter and loved to paint and hide them as part of the Dallas, OR “Dallas Rocks!” group on Facebook. She also loved to fish, camp and hunt for mushrooms. Liz is survived by her three children, her mother Margaret Donahue, her sisters, Billie Propios, Toni Davis, Gina Donahue Clayton, Faith Wiemann, her brother Daniel Donahue, many nieces & nephews and her beloved cat Tiger. The family will be holding a private gathering to honor Liz and there may be an online memorial to follow. They request that you withhold sending flowers and thank you for your condolences.
