Janet Caban Torres was born on October 20, 1962 to Victoria Caban and Conrad Torres. Janet had six sisters and three brothers Rosie, Remy, Bong, Cora, Dan, Lina, Edgar, Verna, and Josie. She was never married, but had a daughter Maria-Teresa Torres Labrador by her long-time partner Alex Labrador. Sadly, Janet passed away on January 14, 2021 after a long fight with cancer. At the center of Janet’s life was a strong faith in God. This faith in God made Janet an outstanding and dedicated mother. She worked tirelessly and selflessly to raise her daughter as a caregiver. Her love for her daughter and family was a priority in her life. She’ll be intensely missed by all who knew her. Special thanks go out to Dr. Lisa N. Abaid and staff at Hoag Medical Group for all their conscientious and compassionate care for over two years. Funeral services will be held at Lesneski Mortuary on January 18, 2021 with a viewing from 3:00 to 6:00 and a service starting at 6:00.
