Charlie Mack Wall Obituary

On Sunday, January 10, 2021, Charlie Mack Wall, loving husband and father, passed
away at the age of 87 at Methodist Charlton Hospital in Dallas, TX.
Charlie was born on March 1, 1933 in Dallas, TX to Joseph Wall and Ruth McMullen. He
retired from Mobile Research and Development Corporation, not once but twice, where
he worked for 40+ years as a Research Analyst. He also owned and operated a very
successful business, CanHandler, for a number of years.
As we have informed friends and family of his passing, there have been many words to
describe him, but the common feeling of him was an endearingly sweet, quiet man of few
words; however, when he spoke, you knew to listen as his eloquent words were
meaningful, thoughtful and powerful. He enjoyed a good historical novel as well as a
good western. If you did not know where he was, you could always look out the window
to find him doing yard work, tinkering or taking care of the animals. He also enjoyed
traveling with some of the most recent memories being able to share time with friends
and family in Galveston. He loved the outdoors and camping. He always made sure a
good campfire was going to share the warmth and comfort, and he seemed to always find
the best walking sticks for his and others hikes. While on his travels, he was always
willing to rescue any critter in need. He was an all around family yahtzee champion and
also enjoyed a good game of scrabble and dominoes. He was very involved and
passionate in coaching his children’s and grandchildren’s soccer teams, The PowerKicks
and The Allstars, as well participating in any school event he could attend.
Charlie and Jan recently celebrated 51 years of marriage. She will forever hold in her
heart the amazing love of her life (aka Daddy Rabbit). He was beloved by his 7 children:
Rickey Wall and wife Bernadette, their children Sharlene, Adrian, Richey and his wife
Daisy, Arlene and her husband Kevin, and Andrew and his wife Gina; Debbie Morgan and
her husband Russell, their children Lanna and Daniel and his wife Kresta; Mike Wall and
his wife Lisa, their children Loran and her husband Joe, Chris and his wife Amanda and
Charlie; Chris Green and his wife Kukai; Kevin Wall and his wife Marian, their children
Cristy, Chandler and Garrett; Cregg Green and wife Aniko, their children Chase and his
wife Ashly and Chay; Shannyn Walker and her husband Shawne, their children Sterling,
Stetson and Shaelyn. He was adoringly called Pawpaw by his grandchildren, 27 great
grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He will be missed by his 15 nieces and
nephews: Joe, David, Ronnie, Randy, Patty, Jamie, Jacqueline, Jennifer, Katie, Tom,
John, Eric, Brad, Sara and Karl. Lastly, we cannot neglect to mention John Luby who was
like a brother to him.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 18th, 2021 at the Maypearl Church of
Christ located at 6091 FM 66, Maypearl, TX 76064. Visitation starts at 9am with funeral
service at 10am. Upon conclusion of funeral service, we will meet at the Maypearl
Cemetery Pavilion on FM157, Maypearl, TX 76064.
