Funeral services celebrating the life of Claudine E. Wilkerson will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Monday, January 18, 2021, in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria, with Terry Tanner officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be observed Monday, January 18, 2021 from 11:30 a.m. until time of service. Pallbearers honored to serve are Jonathan Brouillette, Jeremy Brouillette, Josh Brouillette, Steve Henry, Shad Hickman and Steve Hickman. Claudine E. Wilkerson, 83, of Lecompte, departed this life on Friday, January 15, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Claudine was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. In 1955 Claudine married the love of her life, Aubrey L. Wilkerson, and together they had 4 children. She took pride in caring for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but her greatest joy was spending time with them. Claudine loved gardening, flowers and the outdoors and was happy living out in the country. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by many. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 plus years, Aubrey; son, Marcus Manley Wilkerson; grandson, Mark Ryan Brouillette; great-grandson, Connor Lemoine; her parents, Elbert and Claudia Price Hickman; brother, Charlie Hickman and his wife, Nell and a sister-in-law, Sunshine. She is survived by her sons, Darrell “Gator” D. Wilkerson and his fiancé’, Terry Tanner and Paul Ducote and wife, Donna; daughter, Martha Renee’ Brouillette and husband, Mark; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Jess Hickman and a host of other family members and friends. The family has requested memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
