Donal F. Corcoran, 80, January 14, 2021, longtime resident of the Southwest Side of Chicago-Clearing neighborhood, beloved husband of Carol Ann, nee Sturba; loving father of Mary (Michael) Rymek, Daniel W. Corcoran, and Carol Marie Corcoran; cherished grandfather of Katlin and Bradley Rymek; devoted son of the late William and Nora Corcoran; dearest brother of Kathleen Corcoran and the late Margaret Cloney; fond uncle of Mary (Dan) Lunk, Kathy Nelson, Theresa (Tommy) Cronin, and the late Thomas Cloney. Donal was born in Fossa Killarney, Ireland and moved to Chicago at the age of 19. He always maintained a love of his Irish heritage and Irish music. Donal was an extremely talented singer and a softball coach at Lawler Park. He took great delight in playing the lottery, especially his scratch off tickets. In his younger years, he was a member of the Ancient Order of Hiebernians, an Irish Club. Donal was a longtime faithful member of St. Symphorosa Parish, where he was also member of the Super Club. Services at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Friday, January 22, 2021, from 3 to 7 p.m. Wake Service Friday, January 22, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. Cremation to follow. Please omit flowers.
