Funeral services for Austin Michael Boswell will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 444 Hwy. 463 Hineston, LA, with Reverend Benji Rhames officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation will be held at the church on Monday, January 18th from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. While in the church’s parking lot, you can tune into 98.1 FM to hear the funeral being broadcast. Austin was born July 25, 1996 in Alexandria, LA and passed away January 14, 2021 in Houston, TX at the age of 24. He spent most of his life in Hicks, LA and later attended vo-tech where he studied welding. Austin enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. For over two and a half years, he fought cancer. His children were so important to him, and he tried so hard to be here for them as long as possible. Austin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rodney Wayne Boswell. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Chelsea Boswell and children, Michael Ryder and Lexi all of Shreveport, LA, parents, Patricia and Trampus Goodwin of Robeline, LA and Rodney Boswell, brothers, Brandon Boswell of Many, LA; Zachary Boswell of Robeline, LA; Dylan Goodwin of Atlanta, LA; Colton Boswell of Robeline, LA; Landon Goodwin of Atlanta, LA; and Brodee Boswell of Forest Hill, LA, grandmothers, Jackie Hicks and Marna Boswell, and a host of extended family. Pallbearers will be Brandon Boswell, Zachary Boswell, Colton Boswell, Dylan Goodwin, Billy Welsh, and Landon Goodwin. Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Boswell, Josh Boswell, Joycelyn Boswell, and Blake Turner.
