Dr. Raymond Stewart Gutin Obituary

Dr. Raymond Stewart Gutin of Denver, Colorado, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at age 85, from complications of COVID-19. Ray was born on October 25, 1935, in Cincinnati, OH. He obtained his BS from Ohio State University in 1958 and his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Cincinnati in 1962. Dr. Gutin was an internist with a subspecialty in endocrinology. In 2003, he moved from private practice to join the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes as a clinical provider where he worked for 14 years, then retired in December 2017. He worked as a team physician for the Denver Broncos from 1977-1994. Ray enjoyed traveling, bird watching, golfing, fly fishing, the Colorado Rockies, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Linda Gold Gutin of 57 years, his two children, Alissa (Robert) West; Gregory (Raquel) Gutin; his brother Philip (JoAnn, John, and Dan) Gutin; and grandchildren Hannah Crowley & Walker West.
