Catherine M. Coffey, age 84 years, of Plymouth, MA formerly of Attleboro, died Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Wingate at Silver Lake. She was the wife of the late Richard V. Coffey who predeceased her in 2017 after 62 years of marriage. She was the daughter of the late William and Marion (Garrett) Reynolds. Born on March 9, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY, Cathy was a graduate of Prospect Heights High School. She enjoyed growing up in New York City before moving with her husband to Long Island to start her family after living briefly in Texas where he served in the U.S. Army. For many years Cathy worked as a Customer Service Representative for Checon Manufacturing Company in Attleboro and formerly as a secretary for Hall Funeral Home in Stamford, NY. She raised her family in Stamford, NY and moved to Massachusetts in 1981 and settled in Plymouth in 2015. She was an active parishioner and volunteer throughout her life, most recently at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Attleboro. She had a deep faith. Cathy was a beautiful, kind and gentle soul who loved her family. She had a great fondness for her grandchildren and spent many hours playing board games, Legos, matchbox, or any activity they wanted. She was the loving mother of Patricia Dandurand and her husband Kenneth of Plymouth, Eileen Moore and her husband Charles of Paducah, KY, Maureen Sullivan and her husband James of Plymouth, Tom Coffey and his wife Maria of Deep River, CT. She was predeceased by her daughter Margaret Mary Coffey. She was the grandmother of Joseph Dandurand, Joshua Moore, Kristen, Emily, Brendan and Christopher Sullivan, Ryan and Dillon Coffey, and was predeceased by her grandson Matthew Dandurand. She was also the sister of Marilyn Mannix of Middletown, NJ and was predeceased by her older sister Margaret Mary and her twin sister Patricia Reynolds. Her funeral will be held from the Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 619 State Road, Plymouth (Manomet) MA on Wednesday at 9:00AM, followed by a funeral mass at St. Bonaventure Roman Catholic Church in Plymouth at 10:30AM. Interment will be in the National Cemetery of Massachusetts, Bourne MA following. Services are private due to the Covid pandemic.
