Leo Carruth Obituary

Funeral services for Leo Carruth will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at LaCamp Church of God with Reverend Shawn Waggoner officiating. Burial will follow in LaCamp Church of God Cemetery under the direction of Jeane's Funeral Service. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Leo was born November 3, 1942 in Oakdale, LA and passed away January 13, 2021 in Alexandria, LA at the age of 78. He served in the U.S. Army and worked for Civil Service as a lineman and took great pride in his work. He was a humble, sweet, loving man that enjoyed going to church and helping others. Leo loved rock hunting and searching for arrowheads and petrified wood. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loving on his great grandbabies. Brother Leo loved to see his church friends, family, and especially his great grandbabies. His family was the most important thing to him besides God. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and has ever had the chance to meet him. Leo was preceded in death by his mother, Era Carruth; father, Irvin Carruth; brothers, Leroy Carruth, Gervis Carruth, Glen Carruth; and niece, Lisa Carruth. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jeanette Carruth of LaCamp, LA, daughter, Janet Carruth of DeRidder, LA, grandchildren, Devan Kirschener of DeRidder, LA; Mercedes and Joshua Arntz of Oregon; Ashleigh Guillory and Kamren Guillory of DeRidder, LA; and Coy Miller of DeRidder, LA, great grandchildren, Wyatt Kirschener, Kendall Arntz, and Colton Arntz of Oregon and Kamren Guillory Jr. and Kayleigh Guillory of DeRidder, LA nieces and nephews, Norma Carruth, Audrey Carruth Walters, and Roy Carruth all of Mississippi and Brent Carruth of Texas, and a host of extended family and friends. Pallbearers will be Devan Kirschener, Coy Miller, Joshua Arntz, Kamren Guillory, Zakk Rogerson, and Roy Carruth.
