Mamin Arjoon Toronto, Ontario Obituary

Mamin Arjoon

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mamin (Bachan) Arjoon in Milton, Ontario on January 14, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Born January 3, 1947 to Bachan Rambacas and Moonia Bachan in Penal Trinidad. Mamin emigrated to Canada in the early 70’s spending an initial period in Toronto, where she met Balram Arjoon her partner and husband of 46 years. Mamin and Balram started a family and settled in Mississauga. Mamin had three loving children Lisa, (Partner Steve) Kevin, and Sarah, and two grandchildren Austin and Mason. Mamin held various positions in her career but will most be remembered as an entrepreneur and had owned and operated a small business. Mamin was a lifelong fan of The Young and Restless, and The Bold and the Beautiful, Hallmark Movies, and loved to read romance novels. Mamin also loved to garden. Each season she had a bountiful vegetable garden and was passionate about growing roses. Mamin was a devout Hindu and found peace in prayer, learning about her faith, and listening to bhajans. We are thankful for the Oncology Department at Credit Valley Hospital for their care and support, and most especially thankful to the ICU of Milton District Hospital who cared for Mamin during her last days with us. Flowers are welcomed. Donations may be made in Mamin’s memory to Lung Cancer Canada at https://www.lungcancercanada.ca/Donate-Now.aspx or to a charity of choice.
