<p>Mrs. Dominga Badillo Lucas, 91, passed away peacefully at her daughter&rsquo;s residence during the early morning hours of Friday, January 15, 2021. Dominga was born on July 18, 1929 in Aguada, Puerto Rico.</p> <p>After relocated to the United States, Dominga was united in marriage in Leesburg, VA in 1951 to the late Melvin Lovette Lucas. Melvin preceded Dominga in death in 1996.</p> <p>Dominga was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.</p> <p>Dominga is survived by six loving children: Benita (James) Hannah of South Bend, Melvin (Ida) Lucas, Jr. of Leesburg, VA, Judy (Rudi) McCord of Washington D.C., Rex (Karyle) Lucas of Herndon, VA, Maria Lucas of Washington D.C. and Don Lee Lucas of Washington D.C.; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Adela of Brooklyn, NY and Teresa of Buffalo, NY; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.</p> <p>In addition to her loving husband of 45 years, Dominga was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Antonio Lucas; as well as three&nbsp;sisters, Carlota, Carmen and Concepcion; and a brother, Sixto.</p> <p>Per the family&rsquo;s wishes, no public services are currently scheduled. The family may gather privately at a later date to celebrate Dominga&rsquo;s life. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Center for Hospice and Real Services of South Bend. Mrs. Dominga Badillo Lucas, 91, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s residence during the early morning hours of Friday, January 15, 2021. Dominga was born on July 18, 1929 in Aguada, Puerto Rico.

After relocated to the United States, Dominga was united in marriage in Leesburg, VA in 1951 to the late Melvin Lovette Lucas. Melvin preceded Dominga in death in 1996.

Dominga was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
