Marti Lee Burgett, 79, of Burlington, died Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Bickford Assisted Living in Burlington, Iowa. Born December 31, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of Henry Harrison and Emma K. (Hudolin) Burgett. She was a member and pillar of New Life Family Church. Marti was a Cytologist for Great River Medical Center until she retired. She enjoyed reading and caring for her cats. Marti was an artist, who enjoyed the outdoors and was an inspiring teacher of the Bible and biology. Survivors include two brothers, Doug W. (Pat) Burgett of Geneva, OH, and Jerry Lee (Marlane) Burgett of Ashtabula, OH; and four nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. The celebration of life service for Marti will be Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at New Life Family Church. There will be a potluck to follow.
