<p>Leland &ldquo;Jack&rdquo; Pearson, age 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his residence in Prairieville, LA on Thursday, January 14, 2021. He was born on November 10, 1940, in Transylvania, LA.</p> <p>He served in the United States Air Force as an Airman First Class (E4). He was a member of Carpenter&rsquo;s Chapel United Methodist Church in Prairieville. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. Above all else, he loved his family and will be missed by all.</p> <p>Leland is preceded in death by his parents, Winnie and Ina Pearson. He is survived by his wife Martha Adcock Pearson; two children and their spouses, son Curtiss&nbsp;Pearson and wife Holly; daughter Rena Cook and husband Alan; four granddaughters: Jessica Wheat and husband Derek, Kristi Lavigne and significant other Adam Martin, Leah White and husband Tyler, Zoie Laurent and husband Lewis; grandson Mason Cook; and three great grandchildren, Leland and Breanne Wheat and Adair White.&nbsp;</p> <p>A private funeral service for immediate family will be held at Ascension Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 19th. Pastor Billy Minyard will officiate. A veteran&rsquo;s burial service will be held at Carpenter&rsquo;s Chapel Cemetery in Prairieville, LA. Pallbearers will be Tyler White, Derek Wheat, Lewis Laurent, Mason Cook, Adam Martin, and Alan Cook.</p> <p>Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared on the online guestbook, www.ascensionfuneral.com.</p> <p>In Lieu of flowers, you may donate to the Alzheimer&rsquo;s Association at https://www.alz.org in his name.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Leland “Jack” Pearson, age 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his residence in Prairieville, LA on Thursday, January 14, 2021. He was born on November 10, 1940, in Transylvania, LA.

He served in the United States Air Force as an Airman First Class (E4). He was a member of Carpenter’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Prairieville. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. Above all else, he loved his family and will be missed by all.
