Our mother, Frances, passed away peacefully January 13, 2021, at Chehalis West Assisted Living in Chehalis, Wash., where she had been a resident for the past ten years. Mother was born September 20, 1922, to James and Beulah Peters in Sumner, Wash. She was one of six children. Frances was raised in Morton, Wash., and attended school in that town. Mother married the love her life, Ralph "Pete" Romenesko in 1940 and subsequently moved to Boisfort, Wash., where Pete went to work for Weyerhauser. In 1942, they welcomed their first daughter, Louise. Their second daughter, Jerene, followed in 1944. Mom and Dad enjoyed almost 63 years of marriage, and dad always introduced Mom as his bride. She was a loving wife and mother; a homemaker; and a devout Jehovah's Witness. She was preceded in death by her husband Pete, in 2002; her parents; an infant grandson; great grandchildren, Jennifer and Christopher; and all of her siblings. She is survived by daughters Louise Voie and Jerene (Doug) Heay; seven grandchildren; seven great children; and one great-great grandson. We would like to thank the caregivers at Chehalis West Assisted Living for the excellent care they provided to our mother during these past several years.
