<p>Lawrence Gray Lykins, age 78,of Cannel City, KY passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 in the Carter County Nursing &amp; Rehab Center, Grayson, KY after an extended illness. He was born July 11, 1942 in West Liberty, KY to Paul Lykins and Nova McCarty Lykins. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior, and love going to church. He worked on many jobs and love farming. He will be missed by his family and friends. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Mary Brown Lykins, and daughter Joyce Cole all of Cannel City,KY. Two sons; Lawrence Jr Lykins &amp; Ashley of Adele,KY. Ricky Lykins of Wolfe Co,KY. Three granddaughters, Lisa Cole, Hannah Lykins and Taylen Lykins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul &amp; Nova McCarty Lykins, one infant sister. Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Sunday,January 17, 2021 at Herald &amp; Stewart &amp; Halsey Chapel with Bro.Hobert Dunn and Bro.David Stamper officiating. Interment in the Lawrence Gray Lykins Cemetery, Railroad Fork,Cannel City, KY. Visitation 6:00 p.m. Saturday at Herald &amp; Stewart &amp; Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY. Pallbearers: Scott Prater, Tristan Prater, Mason Prater, Chris Elam, Van Taylor, Paul Brown, Jr Lykins, Rick Lykins and John Clark. COVID-19 mandate/ regulations will be followed as set forth by Governor Beshear and the CDC. The family request that visitors respect their desire to keep everyone safe by practicing social distancing guidelines and to wear a face covering of some sort.</p>
