<p>Pauline M. Cooley, age 94, a resident of Strasburg, VA passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital, due to complications from COVID-19.</p> <p>Pauline was born in Washington, D.C. on June 28, 1926, the only child of Paul Murphy and Virginia F. Pollard. On December 31, 1943, she met the love of her life, C. Douglas Cooley, at the Old Mill in Strasburg. Pauline and Douglas were married on July 16, 1944 and made their home in Springfield, VA, where they raised their three children before retiring to Strasburg in 1990. Pauline always stayed busy and was active in the Strasburg Museum, UDC, and Compassion&nbsp;Cupboard. She spent much of her time weaving baskets for others. Pauline was a wonderful friend to all she met and would brighten your day with her great sense of humor. She will be remembered for her kindness and quick-wit.</p> <p>Pauline is survived by her three children Paul D. Cooley, J. David (Sybil) Cooley, and Janet M. (Douglas) Dellinger, four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
