He taught me so much and to never quit no matter how bad it was, to always accomplish something each day no matter how small just be able to accomplish something. He was truly amazing. I felt I could do anything because he was there for me to give advice and direction from our 4wheeling and fishing adventures. Those were my favorite times in life, so much fun. He always caught more fish than me but I didn&rsquo;t care. I just loved being in his presence at the river following his example. In life I feel that I could not have had a better example to follow. I always said when I&rsquo;d grow up, I wanted to be as tough, smart and wise as Gerald. I am so very blessed to have lived my whole life next to Gerald and can only try my best to fill his shoes as he filled our fathers. Thank you, Lord, for giving me such a wonderful brother. -A eulogy written by his youngest brother, Bruce Fairres.</p>
