Bill also authored a book, “Mounted Cops are 10 Feet Tall”. He is survived by his loving wife, Isabella; daughters, Karen (Kim) Pontius of Traverse City, and Debbie Ladd of Columbia City; 7 loving grandchildren as well as 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Walsh; his son, Billy Walsh; and sister, Ruth Bennett.
