Robert "Bob" J. Ries 10/04/1942- 01/09/2021 "Beam Me Up Scotty" Born in Everett, WA to Carl and Alice Ries, Bob spent his childhood finding a love and passion for all things science! Graduating from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelors Degree in Geology, Bobs fascination with geology, space and nature blossomed into a life spent exploring and experiencing all aspects of his passions. Serving in the United States Air Force Bob earned two medals of honor during his time served and then became a Power Industry Operator for the Federal Government for 37 years. Bob still found time to enjoy life; a member of the Bergefunde Ski Club, an avid hiker and ice cream lover, Bob found his truest love in 1997 when he met his beloved Mae. They spent their years together traveling all over, exploring National Parks and watching their family grow. Bob is survived by his wife Mae, children: Randy, Teresa (Joe), Rob (Paula), and his 6 granddaughters: Emily (Mark), Kelly, Jenna, Ava, AllyJean, and Emery.
