Lucille M. Heath, 86, of Meadville, died Saturday, December 18, 1999 at Meadville Medical Center.  

 

She was born May 20, 1913 in Ringgold, a daughter of the late Rev. Harry and Olive Ellenberger Silvis.  She married Robert L. Heath October 5, 1940 and he preceded her in death May 31, 1994.  

 

She was a graduate of Tidioute High School, Clarion University and Edinboro University where she received  a BS degree in elementary education.  She was an elementary school teacher for several years in the Fredericksburg schools and subsequently in the Meadville school system until her retirement in 1976.  She was a member of Order of Eastern Star and an avid reader.  

 

She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church.  

 

Survivors include two brothers, H. Wallace Silvis (Geraldine) of Jamestown, NY and Rev. Merle Silvis (Elizabeth) of Williamsburg, VA; and several nieces and nephews.  

 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Mohnkern and a brother, Alvin Silvis.  

 

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.  

 

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
