<p>Obituary</p> <p>Gwendolyn Sampson Born September 8, 1948 to Marion Singletary and Ulysses<br /> Crawford of Baltimore, Maryland. She attended Baltimore City Public Schools and<br /> graduated from Edmonson High School. Wendy as she was affectionately known<br /> worked as a Key punch operator at Mercantile Bank. Through her hard work ethic<br /> she was able to start her own residential cleaning business which she continued<br /> until she obtained employment at the University of Maryland.<br /> Gwen was a devoted Christian who continued her worship until she was unable<br /> due to her lengthy battle with cancer.<br /> Gwen loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and sibling&rsquo;s as often<br /> as possible despite time and distance. Gwen is proceeded in death by her eldest<br /> sisters Cora Epps, Barbara Sprull, youngest sister Vanessa Gray and her best friend<br /> Angela Perry who proceeded her in death August 2020. She leaves to cherish her<br /> memory: One son Carroll Ford- Chip (Julie), one daughter Tiffany Thomas<br /> (Derrick), step son Anthony Smothers, five grandkids Troya Thomas, Kennedy<br /> Myers, Jackson Ford, Derrick Thomas Jr. and Shelby Ford, three siblings Arnezia<br /> Worthan-Coleman (Niece or AJ), Wilhemna Mcdougle, her only brother Roy<br /> Worthan. Additionally she cherished a host of nieces, nephews and friends (and<br /> special friend Tony Jones).<br /> Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same but god calls us home one<br /> by one the chain will link again.<br /> Lovingly submitted,<br /> The Ford and Thomas Families</p>

Gwendolyn Sampson Born September 8, 1948 to Marion Singletary and Ulysses
Crawford of Baltimore, Maryland. She attended Baltimore City Public Schools and
graduated from Edmonson High School. Wendy as she was affectionately known
