William Halbert
William (Bill) Halbert passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in Dallas, Texas. Bill was born September 27, 1949 in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Barney Burdett and Katie (Reed) Halbert, who preceded him in death. Bill married Theresa Jones on March 1, 1973. He loved Mexican food, travel and attending church where he was well known for bringing candy to the children. Bill enjoyed card games, dominoes (especially 42), flea markets and all manner of shopping. In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his brother, Lonnie Halbert. Survivors include his wife, Theresa; son, Billy J. Halbert; four grandchildren; Nicholas Patrick, Steven Betros, Celia Betros and Merak Halbert; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Monday, January 18, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Abiding Life Church in Whitney, Texas with burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Whitney, Texas.September 27, 1949 - January 13, 202109/27/194901/13/2021
