LEWISBURG - Shirley M. Swartz, 71, died Monday, January 11, 2021 at her residence.

 

She was born in Lewisburg on February 12, 1949 and was the only daughter of the late Roland P. and Isabelle M. (Robbins) Swartz.

 

Shirley was a graduate of Lewisburg High School Class of 1967.  She attended Susquehanna University and earned an associate’s degree in business management in 1969.  She then went on and earned her bachelor’s degree in business from Bloomsburg University in 1971.  After school she worked for Moore’s Business Forms in Lewisburg for 27 years in their accounting department.  Shirley then went to work for West Milton Bank for 14 years.  She worked for Tressler Lutheran Services for 6 years and finally for Boscoves, Selinsgrove for four years and then retired.

 

She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Lewisburg where she was a member of the board of directors and served as the treasurer.  Shirley enjoyed traveling, collecting antiques and walking and riding her bicycle with her father.

 

Shirley is survived by two cousins and their husbands; Linda and Clair Kratzer of Selinsgrove and Donna and Kenneth Pyle of Littlefield. AZ.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, S. 4th Street, Lewisburg, PA  17837.

 

A graveside service for Shirley will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in Mazeppa Cemetery, 3200 Johnson Mill Road, Lewisburg, PA 17837.  Arrangements are being handled by Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton.
