Sara I. “Sally” Scalone Endicott, NY Passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021at the age of 73 after a long battle with an illness. She was born on March 12, 1947 in Syracuse, NY to parents Reginald and Mary Ince. She is predeceased by her husband and love of her life “TV” John Scalone, who passed away in 2013, and son David Herceg. Sally is survived by her 4 children, John Herceg of Independence, MO; Julie (Mark) Wallisky of Horseheads, NY; Susan Russo (David Gannon) of Edgefield, SC; Kate (Joe) Ludvigsen of Clermont, FL; and step-son Chris (Karen) Scalone of Fredonia, WI.  She is also survived by her sister Helen Jacques of Tampa, FL, and her grandchildren, Tim, Rachel, and Chris Wallisky, Mary and Holly Ludvigsen, Mari Scalone, and nephew Jeffrey Jacques. Sally was best known for her undying love for her family and friends. She loved cooking, baking, doing crossword puzzles, mahjong, and watching anything with Leo DiCaprio in it. Sal, or “Sawdust Sally” as she was known to some of her friends, was a long-time resident of Endicott NY. She was a life-long retail associate in home improvement/building companies. She worked at Endicott Lumber-n-Box, Adams Wholesalers, Lowes, Home Central, and most recently Tractor Supply of Vestal. Sally was professional and took her job seriously, making many, many good friends along the way. The family welcomes your condolences and prayers at this time, but services will be held privately at a later date.
