<p>Mr. Johnny Wayne Stevenson, 51 passed away on January 12, 2021 at his home. He was born on August 20, 1969 in Morgan County Virginia, a son to the late Johnny E Stevenson and Judy Justus Stevenson. Johnny was employed in the furniture industry for most of his working career. He was known for the incredible love he had for his family. He was an incredible big brother with a heart of gold. His family was the center of his universe and his love was unconditional. He was an avid sports fan and could quote statistics like a sport’s dictionary. Johnny was a wonderful friend to everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him.</p> <p> </p> <p>Surviving is his sisters, Angel York and husband Donald and Cindy Stevenson; niece, LeAnn York; nephew, James York. He also leaves behind close family friends, Chris and Donna Lackey and family.</p> <p> </p> <p>There will be a gathering of friends for Johnny on Sunday, January 17, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at J C Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville. Due to concerns over Covid-19, Mr. Stevenson will lie in state at the funeral home on Sunday from 8:00 AM until 7:00 PM if you would like to pay your respects.</p>Obituary
