Juanita Cuellar Martinez, 81, of Oxnard, CA passed away, January 14, 2021, after complications from a stroke with her family by her side in Wasco, CA. Juanita was also known by many as Jenny Hernandez. She was born to the late Francisco and Andrea Cuellar, May 16, 1939 in Tlacuitapa, Jalisco, Mexico. She was married to the late Juan H Martinez in 1959. They lived in many places ending up in Ventura County since early 70's. Juanita is survived by daughters, Sandra Martinez; Rosie Hill; Peggy Barrios; Elizabeth Castaneda and Yolanda Perez. Sons John and Javier Martinez; 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, brother Jesus Chuy Cuellar of El Paso, TX, sisters FernandaVasquez of Watsonville and Tila Reyes of Oxnard, CA. Juanita predeceased by her son Carlos Martinez, husband of 35 years Juan H Martinez, her parents and a host of brothers and sisters. Juanita dedicated her life to her family, she loved to sing every chance she got, she loved to paint porcelain figurines, cook and bake. Juanita once owned two restaurants, one in Ventura off Main Street in the 70's and the other in Carlsbad, NM in thelate 90s. She was very outgoing, kind, giving and always very elegant. Juanita was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind precious and beautiful memories and extensive sadness in the hearts of the lives she touched. As the pandemic forces us to abandon rituals of grief we will be holding a celebration of life in her honor in the near future at Ivy Lawn Cemetery in Ventura, CA.
