Joseph Edward Hyson Obituary

Joseph Edward Hyson, 82, of Rosedale, passed away on January 13, 2021 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Baltimore to the late Raymond and Elizabeth Hyson. He served in the National Guard and retired from the federal government after many years. He enjoyed watching football, shopping, fishing and driving charter buses on the weekend. He loved to be outside with family, enjoying bonfires and having a cold one. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his son, Joey Hyson; and his brother, Raymond Hyson.

Ed is survived by his beloved wife, Irene; loving children, Marty Hyson, Randy Hyson, Valerie Goss, Nicky Hyson, Missy Brooks, Christine Buettner, Christopher Hyson and their spouses; many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his dear siblings, Doris Heinl, Harry Hyson and Elsie Haber.

Visitation will be held at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, located at 1 2nd Ave. S.W. Glen Burnie, MD on Monday, Jan. 18th, from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be private. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are only allowing 40 people inside the funeral home at one time and requiring masks for all visitors. We kindly ask that you please keep your visit brief, as there may be people waiting to enter the funeral home.
