Freddie William “Fred” King, age 73, a resident of Strasburg, VA passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Winchester Medical Center. 

A funeral service for Mr. King will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2021 at Stover Memorial Chapel with Rev. John Haynes, Jr. officiating.  

Fred was born in Augusta, WV on August 1, 1947 a son of the late Robert Franklin “Bob” King and the late Doris Saville Swisher.  He was a member of the Strasburg United Methodist Church and the Strasburg Moose Lodge.  

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Linda King; his children, Robbie Steward and Jeff King and wife Lisa; his grandson, Justin King all of Strasburg, VA; his siblings, Bonnie Bowman of Baltimore, MD and Jamie Swisher of Inwood, WV along with several nieces and nephews.
