<p>Michael W. Stachnik, age 82, of Carol Stream, formerly of Lombard, died January 12 at his home.</p> <p>Michael was the loving father of Michele of Wheaton and Gregory of Carol Stream; fond grandfather of Melissa Lencioni; dear brother of Daniel (Yolanda); and uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Victoria Murphy and a brother, Paul.</p> <p>Funeral Services will be held Wednesday January 20, 2021 with a Visitation from 9 AM until the time of Funeral Prayers at 9:30 AM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, thence proceeding to Christ the King Church, 1501 S. Main St., Lombard, for 10 AM Mass. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois. Please omit flowers.</p> <p>Michael was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War era from 1961-1963. He was a Past Commander of the American Legion in Downers Grove.</p> <p>Michael had been an usher for 25 years at Christ the King Church. He was a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus at Christ the King.
