Mercedita Acluba Las Vegas, Nevada Obituary

Mercedita Acluba

Mercedita, lovingly known as Mercy, Ate or Lola Edeng by family and friends was born on August 4, 1936, in Philippines. She lived life and experienced so much more than most, traveling, sightseeing even riding on the back of a motorcycle. She had 5 children, who in turn gave her beautiful grandchildren and great grandbabies she was able to love and know. She was known for her kind and sweet demeanor. Her favorite pastimes include watching her telecerias, on the edge of her seat waiting to see the romance and drama ahead. Above all she loved her family, feeding her family to be exact. If you knew her, you knew the first thing she would ask if you entered her home was “kain na, maraming mga pagkain” she wouldn’t take no for an answer. Everyone loved her cooking, she spent her days creating our favorite dishes, happy to feed the masses coming to her home. Her love for family was apparent every day, checking on those dear to her, no matter where they may be, down the street, across state lines, in Guam, even other countries. Her joy came from knowing her family was doing well. Mercy was a strong woman, strong till the end. On January 7th, Mercy was called to be with the lord. She will surely be missed by many, but her legacy will continue to live on through her family.
