Winifred McHugh Roscioli

Winifred “Winnie” McHugh Roscioli, 77, of Pittston Township passed away peacefully Thursday January 14, 2021 at Geisinger Community Medical. Born in Plymouth on July 23, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Marie Goss McHugh. Educated in Scranton schools, prior to retirement she was employed at Gold Star for 32 years. On June 18, 1976 Winnie married her best friend and beloved husband of 44 years, Lou Roscioli. Also surviving are her children, Lavinia Houck, Nelson Helbing and wife Helen, Louis Roscioli and wife Hollie; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren- 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother Paul McHugh and wife Gerri; brother-in-law Jerry Laubaugh; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters Anna and Margaret; brother Patrick; grandson Rocco Roscioli. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 am in the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave. Scranton. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. Friends and family may pay their respects Sunday from 1-3 pm in the funeral home. Social distancing guidelines will be enforced and masks will be required. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Winnie’s memory to the donor’s favorite charity.
