Zenovia "Zin" Larocque

In loving memory of Zenovia Larocque who passed away peacefully early Saturday, January 9th, 2021. Born July 28th, 1928 in Fort William, Ontario she moved and lived most of her life in Sudbury and later moved to Bowmanville in 2014. Beloved wife of Fred Larocque predeceased. Mother to four boys, James (predeceased) (Carol), Robert, Brian (Soledad), and Mark (Nancy). Loving Grandmother to Adam (Bob), Carrie-Anne, Mathew (Jim), Victoria, Martina (Brian), Kara and Lindsay (Mark). The daughter of Harry Mazeriuk and Lena Zychen Novick and loving to her sister Francis Rodgers (all predeceased). Zenovia “Zin” was a wonderful mother and always put others before herself. She was the heart and soul of the family, she made sure that we were always provided for. She was also the surrogate mother to all her son’s friends, whether it was at home or the camp at Mattagami, always making sure everyone all felt welcome and fed. Her cooking was famous, her specialties perogies and cabbage rolls were always favorites, and no one was ever left hungry. She loved reading and could be seen curled up with a book, with treats under the couch hiding them from Red, and later in life, with Tinkerbell who would always be beside her. Cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held at the in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury, Friday, January 22nd, 2021 at 1:30 pm. Family will gather after 1:00 pm. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic directives, 10 people or fewer are permitted in the visitation room, and in the chapel. Face masks are mandatory. For those unable to attend, the service will be available to view by livestream at: https://www.oneroomstreaming.com/view/authorise.php?k=161067239295450.
