<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Mrs. Christine D. Shumans, age 75, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021 at her residence.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Mrs. Shumans was born September 7, 1945 in Bacon County, Georgia; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late Tom Davis &amp; Pearl Crowley Davis, five brothers, Daniel Davis, Silas Davis, Jim Davis, Roy Davis, Russell Davis and Freddie Davis and two sisters, Mary Yawn and Allie Varnadore. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Ferry Road Baptist Church. She worked as a clerk with Dollar General and was formerly employed as a dispatcher with the Hazlehurst Police Department.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Aunt Chrissy never had any biological children but she loved and cared for all of her nieces and nephews as her own.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Troy Shumans of Baxley, a sister, Elfreida Dyal of Baxley and many nieces and nephews.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Satilla Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Paul Smith and Rev. Shon McEachin officiating.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Pallbearers will be Trey Ryals, Jimmy Joe Davis, Dwayne Davis, Wadis Davis, J.C.
