Shane Alden Muzyka Obituary

Mr. Shane Alden Muzyka of Red Deer, Alberta passed away suddenly at his residence on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the age of 43 years. He was born on July 15, 1977 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He has been a resident of Red Deer for the past six years. In his early career, Shane lived in both Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Winnipeg, Manitoba. Shane attended Public School in Ear Falls, Ontario and moved to Manitouwadge, Ontario at the age of eight. He attended school in Manitouwadge and was a member of the Army Cadet Corps, for many years. It was in Manitouwadge where he found his passion and love for fishing. Although camping, and enjoying the outdoors ran a close second, he could often be seen coming home from some fishing hole or another. Shane spent as much time on the water as off, and he had many a fishing story to tell. Afterwards, he started his career in Winnipeg Manitoba. He worked in the Construction Business throughout his career, operating equipment and eventually working as a crane operator. In his spare time, he continued to enjoy the things that brought him joy; fishing, camping, dirt biking, quadding, and spending time with family and friends. Shane had a very kind heart and quick wit. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He left behind his only son, Mason who was the apple of his eye. Shane was the most patient and loving father in the world. He also left his partner, Jill, who he adored, and would walk through fire for, if he needed to. Shane was larger than life and everyone who met him loved him. He has left a huge space in all our hearts, and will be missed beyond measure. Shane will be lovingly remembered by his son, Mason; his girlfriend, Jill Rosenthal; his father and mother, Mark and Wanita Muzyka; his loving brother, Robert Muzyka (Jess); his grandfather, Tony Muzyka; his aunts and uncles, Christine Donnelly, Carla Wielgoz (Thomas Giles), Laura Davis, Brenda Norquay (Alex), David Muzyka (Aldene), Dale Muzyka, Jeff Muzyka (Agnes) Darrell Muzyka, Glen Muzyka and Cindy Muzyka; his nephews, Keenan Muzyka, Byron Muzyka and Lachlan Muzyka and his niece, Kenzie Muzyka; as well as many other loving relatives, great aunts and uncles, aunt and uncles, and cousins. He will also be sadly missed by many friends; you know who you are and all those brothers from different mothers (as he fondly referred to you as). Shane was predeceased by his grandparents, Steve and Bernice Wielgoz, his grandmother, Pearl Muzyka, his uncle, Richard Wielgoz and his aunt, Wendy Wielgoz. A Visitation and Celebration of Shane’s Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Shane would want each of you to remember the happy memories that he shared with each of you. If desired, Memorial Donations in Shane’s honor may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation at www.heartandstroke.ca or any other association that you may be passionate about. Jill’s family has also started a Go Fund Me page if people prefer to donate there.
