James McCarson Easley, SC James Elbert McCarson, 72, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. Born in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late David and Sadie Lanning McCarson and the husband of Bessie McCarson. He was owner and operator of McCarson Tree Service and part owner of McCarsons Logging and a member of Gospel Light Tabernacle. Survivors also include two children, William Brisack and Stephanie Fowler; eighteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two children, Margaret Stafford and Joseph Brisack; and six siblings, David McCarson, Jr., Carlos McCarson, Joseph McCarson, Martha Galloway, Virginia Ledbetter and Shirley Suttles. The family will receive friends from 6PM until 8PM on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Stribling Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 12PM on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Gospel Light Tabernacle with Rev. Dean Gahagan and Rev. Lankston Duncan. Interment will be held at Duncan Chapel Cemetery.
