Volpini, Antonietta (nee Caliendo) Peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on January 13, 2021 at the age of 85. Predeceased by her loving husband Sergio of 48 years. Cherished mother of Nicoletta (Carmen) and Maria (Dana). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Chloe, Katarina, and Christian. Predeceased by her parents Giovanni and Nicoletta Caliendo and mother and father in law, Battista and Maria Volpini. Also predeceased by her sisters Caterina and her husband Battista, and sister Maria. Survived by her sister Luisa (the late Sebastiano). Survived by brother in law Nino of Italy. Predeceased by brother in law Franco and sister in law Giovanna. Will be missed by many, nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends. Antonietta will be fondly remembered for her great love that she had for her grandkids, preparing Sunday dinner for her family and her beautifully kept garden. A special thanks to the nurses and doctors for their compassion and care during this time. In lieu of flowers donations to the Juravinski Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Mamma, it broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone, a part of us went with you the day God called you home. We love you so very much and you can now finally rest in peace with Papa. Sarai sempre nei nostri cuori. Pace eterna. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 18, 2021, from 4-8 pm at P.X. Dermody Funeral home, 796 Upper Gage Avenue, Hamilton (Upper Gage & Mohawk). Due to the current Covid 19 restrictions all guests must RSVP for visitation and must wear a mask and maintain social distancing while in attendance. A private family service will take place on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Please take a moment to leave an online condolence
