Nina L. Bodolus, age 86, of Dover passed away January 12, 2020 from complications of the COVID virus.  Nina was born in King’s Lynn England on July 25, 1934, daughter of the late Walter and Nina Watson (Granger).

Nina was a loving wife to Stephen E. Bodolus and dedicated mother to three sons. She is preceded in death by her husband and sons Stephen P. and Anthony J. Bodolus as well as her sister, Carol Scoles.

She is survived by her son Christopher L. Bodolus, her grandchildren Christopher L. Bodolus (Jr.) and Kathryn McBride.  Nina was recently blessed with a great grandchild, Wyatt Wills McBride, the son of Kathryn and Matthew McBride. She is survived by her sister Dinah Dent (Kings Lynn, England) along with extended family and friends in both the US and England.

As a young lady, Nina met Stephen E. Bodolus (USAF) in England when he was stationed there and had their first child (Stephen P.) in England.  Nina postponed her college education for the next 30+ years as she supported her husband’s military career with assignments in US and UK.  Upon her husband’s retirement in Dover, she enrolled at Delaware State University and received a Bachelor’s of Science degree with highest honors in May of 1981.

A Celebration of Life service for friends, neighbors and family is being planned for later this year at her house where her ashes will remain until burial.  In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations to the memory of Nina L. Bodolus be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
